Speacialty Coffee for Espresso - Ana Luiza
Ana Luiza Veiga is a fifth generation coffee farmers. As an only daughter, early on she took the responsibility of the two family farms, in the region of Nepomuceno and Varginha, in the south of Minas Gerais. She representes one of the women at Flor de Café in Europe.
Flor de Café is a promising project seeking to value and recognize women's work in coffee growing.Ana's Arara Variety Coffee, 85 Score SCA, was grown at Fazenda Santa Lídia, at 950 meters of altitude, in the municipality of Varginha. With an average production of 1200 bags per year, the farm has 30 hectares of preserved forests, two springs and a river that crosses the property.The farm is located in the Atlantic Forest Biome. This forest represents 13.04% of the Brazilian national territory.
Together with Flor de Café's environmental team, the farm is being mapped and the native trees are being classified and catalogued. Ana Luiza's coffees are certified by the UTZ and Rainforest Alliance seals. This coffee is ethical coffee as it is exclusively produced by small producers.
