Mexican Green Specialty Coffee
EthicHub coffee is grown sustainably by smallholder farmers in the Soconusco area of Chiapas, Mexico. Las Delicias, Chespal, Agua Caliente, Chanjalé, San Rafael Guatimoc, La Boquilla, La Soledad, Salchiji and Pavencul, are communities of small farmers who year after year strive to grow one of the best coffees in the world.
"The average size of the farms is 1.5 hectares, at heights between 1200 and 1800 meters above the sea level, planted mainly with Bourbon and Typica, always cultivated under the shade of trees (Shade Grown). The heavy rains and the rich volcanic soils of the area give the beans their particular body and pleasant acidity, producing the excellent quality characteristic of these coffees of strict height— all of them with tasting results higher than 82 points under the standards SCA."
